As undergraduate student researchers at UC Riverside, we collectively aim to envision better transportation policies and initiatives in the Inland Empire. Under the guidance of Professor Ronald Loveridge (UCR) and Professor Kimberly Collins (CSUSB), we define the key issues in our region by proceeding with online expert dialogues, literature review, and interviews with regional transportation leaders. Furthermore, we analyze the policy capabilities and organizational framework of local and state governments to see if the current governing bodies are ready to adapt to smart transportation 2.0 technologies.
